I'm a huge fan of science fiction movies. I was telling a friend at work the other day about how Running Man has become reality. Arnold is being chased down in a reality tv show so that people in the world can tune in to their TVs with the excitement of maybe seeing Arnold getting killed. That movie was made in 1987. Today in 2015 we can watch people get murdered by terrorists online. It's sometimes a sad and crazy world. On a brighter note... Science Fiction gadgets are reality extrapolated in the not too distant future with creative geniuses imagining it now, and engineering geniuses making it come to life soon thereafter. We can see it in so many aspects of our lives now. * The Back to the Future self tying shoes will be here this year, courtesy of Nike. * The Knight Industries smart car, KITT, is the Tesla Model S. The Model S will be able to drive itself and pick you up! * The bionics of Robocop (the classic, not the new one) and the Six Million Dollar Man is reality with Hugh Herr. His TED Talk is extremely inspiring. So the above image is real life Elysium on earth right now. Life truly is better up there. You just have to be able to pay for it. Or at least have a credit card with enough of a float so that you can charge your better life experience to it. I can't recall where I saw it. It was probably a sci-fi movie. But the inspiring idea that is ultimately reality went something like this: "the best way to predict the future is to create it." And I completely agree in so many ways... p.s. the 80's truly were the best! (completely biased point of view).
